China is a country with extremely poor per capita resources. The realistic pressure of resources and population determines that China's agricultural development must take the road of resource-saving and sustainable development. As an efficient resource utilization industry, facility agriculture can not only fully tap the genetic potential of crops and greatly increase the yield, but also realize the production in saline alkali land, Gobi, desert, building roof and other non arable land, improve the utilization efficiency of land resources, water resources and light and heat resources, and realize high-yield, high-quality, efficient and sustainable development. Therefore, it is necessary to develop facility agriculture to relieve the pressure of population resources and realize the transformation from a big agricultural country to a powerful agricultural country.
Technology development of facility agriculture in China
The scientific research work of facility agriculture in China started during the sixth Five Year Plan period in the early 1980s. After more than 30 years of development, it has made hundreds of scientific research achievements at national and provincial level, and accumulated rich achievements and talents for further development.
During the sixth Five Year Plan period, the Ministry of Agriculture began to set up two projects: "research and design of hot dip galvanized steel pipe prefabricated plastic greenhouse" and "Research on natural light artificial climate chamber". The framework structure and stereotyped design of plastic greenhouse, environmental mechanism and control technology of natural light artificial climate chamber were explored respectively, and the technical reform of vegetable seedling under semi controllable environment was carried out The feasibility of factory seedling raising was discussed. During the Seventh Five Year Plan period, the Ministry of agriculture set up the research project of "Research on Cultivation Technology of protected agriculture", which carried out in-depth research on three topics, namely, high-yield cultivation technology in plastic greenhouse, cultivation technology in Geothermal Greenhouse, and soilless cultivation facilities and supporting technologies. During the Eighth Five Year Plan period, the Ministry of agriculture continued to set up the project of "Research on Cultivation Techniques of protected agriculture", which focused on three aspects, namely, "optimization of structure and performance of solar greenhouse and high-yield cultivation techniques", "industrialized seedling raising facilities and supporting technologies" and "soilless cultivation techniques for high-yield, high-quality and low-cost vegetables".
